Resolving Behavior Issues

How Families Can Resolve Behavior Issues

The P.R.I.D.E. rules will be the foundation of the rules in each classroom. Additional rules and/or procedures may be included by a teacher to meet the specific needs of his/her classroom.

Each teacher will use a management plan that he/she deems appropriate for his/her classroom. All management plans will include documentation of students behavior and communication with parents and/or guardians through a variety of methods, including notes, phone calls, emails, and conferences. All plans will run on an eight point system. Students will begin each grading period with eight points. At the end of each grading period, students who have kept a MINIMUM of one point will be invited to a special P.R.I.D.E. event. Students will be excluded from these reward events if their behavior is not consistent with the P.R.I.D.E. rules.

If, at any time, you have a question or concern, please contact your child's teacher before the concern becomes a problem. All Tekoppel Staff have a direct phone number and email address. You can find that information on this website under the "School Information" tab. If you do not have access to email, please feel free to call (812) 435-8333 and our secretary can forward your call.

If you have spoken with your child's teacher and your concerns continue, please call Mr. White, Tekoppel's principal, at (812) 435-8333 or send an email to [email protected]
